Our Story
Hi, I’m Kyle Svilar — the hands behind Blank Slate Woodworks, a local woodworking company based in Youngsville, North Carolina.
My journey into woodworking began simply: I wanted to create something meaningful for my family. What started as a few custom furniture pieces for our home quickly turned into a deep passion for craftsmanship. I fell in love with the process of taking unappealing, rough lumber and shaping it into a final product that is beautiful and lasting.
Friends and neighbors in Youngsville and Wake Forest began asking for their own custom pieces, from dining tables to smaller home décor items, and before long, what started as a hobby in my garage turned into a woodworking business. Today, I proudly serve homeowners and businesses across the Triangle — from Raleigh to Rolesville — creating handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces that are built to last.
